The seat (included) has a stiff, high back, which gives you excellent support, IF you get the angle right.
The seat includes an inflatable bum cushion, which gives you some nice lift off the floor of the kayak. I’ve found this lift takes the pressure off the hamstrings and lower back.
The front thwart acts as a foot brace, which adds to your comfort by supporting your lower back as you paddle.

At only 13cm deep when folded, it’s very compact – great for travellers.
The Lagoon1 kayak is very stable, and you are surrounded by an inner tube, so you feel very secure.
This makes it great for beginners, taking tiny dogs and kids, and fishing.
It also means you can relax whilst you are paddling!

The seat (included) clips in high on the side tubes, so it gives you good lower back support.

You are sitting on a soft floor, which is nice under the bum.
The front thwart acts as a foot brace – you adjust the straps of the seat to get the right leg length for the thwart.
Note that if you need more than lower back support, our other kayaks have high-backed seats.
The StraitEdge Inlatable Kayak’s Aluminum Rib Frame Design helps cut through chop on coastal water.
You can close the self-bailing ports down the sides if you are in flat water or cold water and want to stay dry.
You can open the self-bailing ports down the sides to allow the kayak to drain if you are in mild whitewater (up to class III) or out in the open ocean.
StraitEdge2 Pro Kayak
The StraitEdge2 Pro is a great tandem option at 18.6kg.
The side tubes are made from PVC tarpaulin. This is an ultra-thick, triple layer material that is very difficult to puncture.
The floor is made from high-quality drop-stitch. Extremely durable and rigid – gives you great performance on the water.
The StraitEdge2 Pro has a high-pressure Drop-Stitch Floor, which allows you to stand up and has made the aluminium folding frame seat possible.
This is a wonderful seat. It’s very supportive and gives your bum some lift.
