Self-Care & Maintenance
Maintenance – the Crewfit 165N Sport lifejacket is an inflatable life jacket, which means it needs to be checked and serviced.
For Leisure Use:
Upon purchasing the lifejacket, you need to carry out a self-service every 12 months and also initial and date when this service was done on the service label at the top, underneath side of the lifejacket.
In addition, every three years this service must be carried out by any Survitec branch and or by our authorised service agents.

Lifejackets must be serviced by Survitec or an authorised service agent every 12 months. No exceptions.

Haven't needed to rely on it yet, and hope I never do, but this is soooo much better than the other sort of lifejacket. I barely know I have it on and it doesn't impede arm movement

AustraliaDon't bother with bulky PFDs if you're a ***** woman (or man)
One of my concerns about gearing up to paddle was the need for a PFD. Those puffy life jackets are absolutely unsuitable and impossible to make paddling anything but arduous. I've put up with them in commercial ventures but for my own, if you're a woman who has any semblance of a bust and wears a bra, stay clear of the puffy vest PFDs and DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR and get the Crewfit. It's not in the way when I'm using the paddle and out on the water. You want to be able to move your arms very freely. The Crewfit gives you that freedom plus the peace of mind should you ever find yourself in the water inadvertently. it's well priced and a quality product. it is light and easy to paddle with.. Thoroughly recommended for women and the other advantage is that in warmer climates and weather your clothes can breathe and you're not sweating unnecessarily.

Been used to the "old fashioned" type of life jacket, which I had paddled in for many years. This new style inflatable is so low profile and easy to paddle in. Fortunately, I haven't used it inflated yet so I can't vouch for that component.
