Axis 230 4-Part Fibreglass Kayak Paddle
This paddle is exactly what I was looking for. It even packs into the carry bag with my AdvancedFrame Sport Elite Kayak. Love the ability to set the paddle position and it is light and easy to use. highly recommend this paddle to everyone
Axis 230 paddle
I bought this paddle because of its lightweight feature and it is noticeable. However it is less sturdy than the Moray paddle I previously purchased and has play in the joints as described in another review here. Mixed feelings on this one for the extra money.
Good but not great
I've found this paddle to be lightweight, goes together easily and packs into my AE Sport bag along with kayak effortlessly. The ability to have the paddle packed in with the kayak is brilliant. When paddling, the paddle feels strong enough and handles quite well. While it assembles very easily, there is still a little bit of 'play' in the joints - I've lessened this with a bit of tape but to do a proper job, I'll probably need a thin coat of epoxy on the joint and sand that down to get a really nice fit - I feel for the money, this should already be the case. The other omission is that there's no raised ridge under the right knuckles to orientate the paddle without looking - again, a pretty easy fix with some tape and a bit of appropriate size cord but I feel this should already be on the paddle from the start.
