It makes the kayak go faster and straighter, and is also extremely durable – great for dogs or fishing.

Paddle the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Solo or Tandem:

Unlike most tandem kayaks, the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Kayak has plenty of leg room for BOTH paddlers, which means less arguments!

Most kayaks over 4m are classed as 3-seaters, but Advanced Elements have kept this one as a spacious tandem kayak.

The solo seating position means you are perfectly balanced in the kayak – no drag and no wag.

Changing between tandem and solo is simply a matter of where you clip the seats in – super easy!

At 4.6m, the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite is one of the longest, and therefore fastest inflatable kayaks on the market.

It also has a capacity of 249kg, so you can really load it up with gear.

With the inflatable lumbar cushion in the seat supporting your back, you can paddle for hours.

The AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite has a low centre of gravity and a flat hull for effortless stability. This saves your strength and allows you to relax and enjoy the ride.

The spray skirt is great news for those adventurous souls who want to paddle the open ocean.

It is also a great accessory for paddling in winter.

Quality Design & Manufacturing

Advanced Elements have designed the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite to be wonderfully durable and safe.

With multiple air chambers, multiple layers covering the main chambers and the extra-tough PVC tarpaulin on the hull, you don’t really have to worry about punctures.

What conditions is the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite kayak suitable for?

The AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Kayak is designed to be a day touring type boat, for flat or open water. The bow and stern have a rigid semi-frame that gives it a hard edge. This greatly improves the tracking over traditional inflatables. The AdvancedFrame is fine for class 1 and 2 rivers, and durable enough for class 3, however it is really designed to paddle in a straight line, and therefore not recommended for rivers above class 3. When choosing a kayak for class 3 whitewater or greater, you really want a boat with a very rounded hull that will not grip on to the current, especially in eddys, like our Attack Whitewater Kayak. Unfortunately kayaks with very rounded hulls will not paddle very straight on flat water.

“Hi Emily! Just to say that we got out in the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Kayak now and enjoying it a lot. I had a trip back to the UK that delayed things. Really quick and easy to get ready and fast on the water. I haven’t fitted the rudder yet but will try soon. We have entered the bridge to beach paddle in Feb so a challenge lies ahead. Photos of the canoe were taken on the beach at the Q station, our first expedition. Thanks again for your help and efficiency!“

Ideal way to see through the lockdown

We love our AdventureFrame COnvertible Elite kayak. We bought it for my wife and I to explore Sydney harbour during the lock down and have used it every weekend for since receiving it 4 weeks ago. We take our coffee thermos and brunch out with us and pick a good spot on the harbour to relax and drink coffee. Kids (age 11 and 14) find it easy to use too. We bought the inflatable kayak so it would be more portable as we often drive up the coast to my mothers house. I would recommend considering a rudder (either the add on version or a kayak which has one already) as this makes paddling much smoother and efficient. Just note that the add on rudder for this particular kayak will only allow you to choose either dual occupant position of single occupant position, but not both.

I followed the instructions and in 10 mins my wife and i were on the canning river in Perth. It tracked dead straight...was fast. Take some towels with you to dry it before folding and ready for next time.

Perfect for our Campervan

We had one practice run setting this kayak up in our living room before it’s maiden voyage. It took us less than 10 minutes to inflate and be on the water. We found the duo kayak very easy to get in and out of, stable, roomy and comfortable and not much different in manoeuvrability than our old sea kayaks. The reason we bought this kayak was that we couldn’t carry our sea kayaks on our campervan. This one fits neatly in the back.

Maiden voyage

Had our maiden voyage on Lake Tinaroo on the Atherton Tablelands in Queensland. Found it easy to inflate and launch but just need to get a rhythm going, practice, practice, practice is all it will take. Next day we went to Lake Eacham also on the Atherton Tablelands.

Recently bought Advanced frame convertible Elite Kayak

We have had our new double Convertible Elite kayak out twice now and loved it both times-has plenty of bouyancy so kids climbing in and out was no problem . Travels on water similar to hard shells really ,and has the benefit of sitting in the back of my Subaru Outback taking up little space. It does need sometime to dry however and we did need to fold it up wet on the second use-and take it back home and reinflate to dry it -not much trouble and still very happy with its benefits. We have had 2 single hard shells-with rudders and must say the Elite double [without rudder] tracks very easily . Looking forward to future use in our travels Keith and Sue -Newcastle

AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Kayak

Over the last couple of months we have been putting the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Kayak thoughts its paces in both fresh and seawater. The kayak is certainly a quality designed and made product. It's easy to set-up and pack up, it tracks well when paddling and is very stable (you can stand up in the kayak and use it like a SUP - although this action may not be recommended). The kayak keeps relatively dry even in a swell and without the optional skirt. The ability to pack it up and carry to any location in the car with roof racks etc is certainly an advantage. The kayak is also easy to change from double to single seat configuration and vice versa. Our recommendations that have improved our experiences with the kayak. Ensure correct pressures for each of the chambers and adjust and make sure your seat is comfortable in the shallows prior to venturing out. I have ocassional caught my thumb on the skirt zip when paddling - however correct chamber pressures and paddling adjustment help to avoid the inconvenience. Lastly, when storing the kayak for any length of time we deconstruct the kayak (remove floor base and chambers) to make sure its completely dry. If you are looking for a quality portable one/two person inflatable kayak then this is a great option. Give the people at Ozinflatablekayaks a call with great service and advice ensured. With thanks, Andrew

Great kayak

Easy to inflate and versatile for me to go it alone with two dogs or go out on the water with someone else. Being a tandem, it’s easier to have someone else to help lug it in and out of the car, but excellent quality and service.

Great kayak option

We recently purchased the Advanced Frame Convertible Elite Tandem Kayak from Pro Kayaks at Narabeen. I was unsure of an inflatable verse a rigid kayak and want to see one in person. We choose the Elite version on the advice of Matt. Great advice and assistance even during these distancing times. We have had it out twice since purchasing it, only because of the east coast low last week. I was very impressed with the way the kayak traveled across the water in Sydney Harbour. Our initial run was nearly 10km's return around the lower north shore. There was nearly no wind and minimal traffic what a perfect combination for our first trip. I've kayaked a few times across open water and found the kayak actually handled the wake generated by the ferries better as it flexes slightly as you hit the incoming waves. I'm very happy with this kayak as it suits our requirements, storage was our main issue. I have no hesitation now crossing the harbour in this kayak. The rigid floor makes all the difference, I'm just over 100kgs and it feels great to paddle and tracks well. Looking forward to many hours exploring the NSW waterways until we are allowed to travel further :) Simon

Great kayak!

Easy to inflate, deflate and pack up. We can get it on the water in about 15 minutes. Very stable in the water and lots of room for two paddlers. Took it on a recent trip to Katarapko Creek and it was perfect. Emily's support in purchasing this Kayak was excellent. Informative and helpful on all counts.

New Advanced Frame Convertible Kayak

Excellent, we had our maiden voyage last weekend @ Caloundra & were really impressed with the kayak. It was comfortable, tracked beautifully, & was effortless to paddle. The wind got up quite strongly while we were out on the water but it still cut really well through the water while battling the tide & wind. We are extremely happy with our choice, thanks to Emily's informative advice.

Tracks beautifully and easy to paddle

I purchased the Advanced Elements Advanced Frame Elite Convertible as a joint Christmas present for my partner and I. So far we've had it out both at the beach and on the Murray. It's been easy to set up and the pumping isn't too bad given its size. Both my partner (6'1"), and I find it comfortable and spacious in solo or tandem mode. It even fits easily back into its bag with all the accessories AND the addition of a pump to make the kit complete. The only change I'd make would be to add a foot rest for the front/solo paddler similar to what the rear paddler has. Emily was very helpful with a follow up call when she realised I'd made an error in my order. I'd highly recommend both the kayak and Oz Inflatables.

Kayaking at Waiwera River

Hi Emily Last time I forgot to congratulate you on your very instructive videos on YouTube. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain everything. Since October I purchased and used the AdvancedFrame Kayak and I adore it. The AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Kayak was on sale 30% off here in NZ just before Christmas so we got that for myself and husband (not a regular paddler). We went on our first outing yesterday and had a great time. I started with a cheap paddle and soon realised a good quality one would make a difference so I got the PackLite 4-Part Kayak Paddle (the only paddle available here) but I think I like a larger blade. So, I went back to your videos and found the one on paddles. Thanks for all the good explanations. I might just wait for my next trip to Oz and order the Touring 4-Part Kayak Paddle from you. Here are a few photos from our double kayaking outing on 31 Dec (Waiwera River, 35 km NE Auckland).

Love The AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Kayak

Dear Emily, love the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Kayak! It is awesome. Opened it on Xmas and used it for the first time on Boxing Day. We parked out the front of the Woollahra boat club and then inflated the kayak and put it in on their boat ramp. A very quiet Sunday morning and I got a park around 10m from the boat ramp! Great spot and no sand! The water was calm and glassy. It was a magical morning. Thanks for your tips on estimating pressure within the kayak chambers. I probably under filled the main chamber a bit, but the drop stitch floor was spot on.

Our Advanced Elements experience

We’ve had rigid kayaks before and they were good. I can’t bag them because they did the job but the whole chucking them on the roof, taking them off the roof was starting to get painful. I spoke to a friend who recommended I looked at an inflatable kayak and at first I was sceptical so I researched, researched and researched some more. Eventually we landed on the Advanced Elements Convertible Elite tandem kayak. Delivery was ridiculously quick from over east to the west. Communications with Emily was pure efficiency. But what about the kayak itself ? I could go on and get all artistic but that would eat into my time in the thing. It’s wonderful. Best kayak I’ve ever owned, it’s that simple. It unpacks in no no time at all , goes up in 10 minutes, holds a stack of gear, keeps a grin on my face for as long as I’m sat in in and when the time eventually comes it deflated in the same time as it takes to set up. It even fits back into its bag without too much pushing and pulling ;-) The oars I bought were the 4 part pack paddle and again, these are simplicity themselves and do an admirable job. Bottom line - buy yourself one, you won’t be disappointed .

Great Knowledge and well supported purchase process

Having recently moved to Sydney I was keen to get out on the water and looked at various options for doing so. The information Emily gave on the merits of the Advanced Elements range and making a special video that addressed all of the questions I had helped making that decision really easy and once we went ahead then the kayak arrived within 2 days. Great service. As for the kayak itself then it is quick and easy to inflate and get "launch ready", having the trolley does make it easier to transport to the waters edge when it is inflated although it is also relatively easy to put on my shoulder and carry. It all fits easily in the back of the car and the attraction is for us to explore different water while we are in Australia. On the water she is fast and easy to paddle and very stable even with two of us in it and the seats and dropstitch floor make it a comfortable ride as well. All in all the buying experience with Oz Inflatable Kayaks and the Advanced Elements kayak have been a pleasure and would highly recommend both

Straight up, this was brilliant. We have never kayaked and wanted to try the experience and it was so much fun and exercise. To be able to take the dog with us was tremendous, she had a ball, no issues at all.

We love our new kayak .We can’t believe how comfortable and stable the kayak is . We have previously owned sea kayaks, but our new inflatable kayak with the hard floor is brilliant with the added bonus of being so portable. We will be kayaking a lot more now. Big thanks to Emily who helped us make the decision about the right kayak for us,she was great to deal with

Advancedframe convertible Elite Inflatable Kayak - Easy to manage

I bought this earlier this year while recovering from broken ribs thinking it would be weeks before I could use it. As it turned out, I soon realised it was easy to load and unload from my Subaru Forester and I could manage it even with sore ribs so, as we live in Brisbane, we launched it in the Noosa River for an easy paddle in the beautiful surroundings. A bit of a lull when I broke my leg snow skiing but almost healed and ready for the Tweed river next week and then a road trip through NSW and Victoria in November. I could never have managed a rigid kayak with the injuries so this has been a fantastic purchase.
