Getting on the water

We have trialled the Double Deck conversion a few times now and love it! On the bay in Melbourne in low wind conditions, and on Kananook creek with other paddlers. Service and commmunication with Oz inflatable has been fantastic, and we received our zip on deck just before Christmas. My stepson also bought my husband a fishing set up - so thats exciting! Heading to Tassie in a few days and cant wait to do some paddling over the next few months in pristine waters. After being in our caravan on the road for 3.5 years we are finally getting on the water in our own kayak. It feels sturdy on the water, and after pulling it completely apart to check it out we are now familiar with its construction. As I sit in the front I find it a bit hard to hear my husband, so Im going to trial turning my seat around? Is that weird? We love the fact that we can pack it up easily and take it with us on day trips to locations unsuitable for the caravan. One day we might take on moving water, once I feel confident enough. My husband is a Coxswain so is very confident on the water. We are in our mid 60’s and really happy to open up options on our travels and see beautiful waterways from a new perspective. Thanks Oz inflatable.

I'm converted

The double deck conversion is a worthy addition. The open Kayak gets quite a bit of water splash in from waves and from paddles, especially when windy, but adding the double deck conversion stops most of that spray getting inside. It's remarkable how effective it is, even without using a full spray skirt. The zip is a bit trickey to get started, but it's really worth the bother.
