iATAK 110 Inflatable Drop-Stitch Fishing Kayak

iATAK 110 Inflatable Drop-Stitch Fishing Kayak

The  iATAK 110 is Australia’s only full drop-stitch fishing kayak. It’s a full-featured fishing kayak that performs like a hard-shell kayak, but conveniently packs up into a bag. Heaps of space, mounts everywhere and a seat that folds into a booster platform for easy standing and sight casting.

Why THIS kayak?

  • Comfortable and easy to stand up with patented Ergoboost seating system
  • Stable wide-open cockpit - easy to get in and out of
  • Paddles fast and straight with the rigid displacement hull
  • Load it up with gear and attachments via 4 mounts and accessory rail.
  • Motor ready via fin box propellor
  • Simple set up with electric pump - partner with the 12V Electric Kayak and SUP Pump for hassle-free inflation

Who is this kayak NOT for?

  • At 22kg, the iATAK is not our lightest fishing kayak. If you would like a fishing kayak that is lighter, check out the Quest Angler Inflatable Fishing Kayak, which is only 14.5kg, but still has plenty of space for gear.
  • Although the iATAK is really nice to paddle, it is extremely buoyant with a very high profile out of the water, so it does get pushed by the wind a bit. If you want a low profile kayak that will perform better in windy conditions, check out the Quest Angler Inflatable Fishing Kayak.
  • The high sides of the iATAK and the raised seat protect you from getting wet quite effectively, but if you live in a cold climate, you may wish to consider a sit-in kayak that you can put a spray skirt on, such as the AdvancedFrame Elite or the AdvancedFrame Expedition Elite. Although these are not custom fishing kayaks, it is possible to fish from them.
  • The iATAK is not suitable for whitewater. If you are interested in whitewater, check out the StraitEdge kayak, which is a self-bailing sit-on-top kayak, suitable for whitewater up to class 3.

Easy to Stand Up and Sit Down

The Ergo Boost seating system is genius - the back of the seat folds forwards, creating a high booster seat.

Combined with the full drop-stitch rigidity of this kayak and the non-slip EVA foam padding in the cockpit, the height of the booster seat means you can easily stand up to sight cast.

The booster seat also allows you to swivel around to access your gear behind you, or even face the rear of your kayak.

The booster seat also gives you excellent vision looking into the water.

Specification Image

Stable Wide-Open Cockpit

The iATAK has a large, wide-open cockpit, and with the wide, flat hull, it is very stable on the water.

It’s very easy to get in and out of - no tucking legs into cockpits.

The iATAK is big enough and stable enough to take kids and large dogs.

The walls of the iATAK are generally tall enough to keep you dry in most conditions.

Specification Image

Comfortable for Hours

The Ergo Boost seat gives you excellent back support for hours on the water.

The adjustable foot pegs are very easy to set up so you get exactly the right support for your lower back as you paddle.

Specification Image

Paddles Fast and Straight

The patented fishbone displacement hull helps the kayak cut through chop and track straight.

The iATAK is Australia’s only full-drop stitch fishing kayak - the rigidity is amazing, even when loaded up with gear (and even if you are a heavy person). It’s like having a hard-shell fishing kayak that packs up into a bag.

There is also a fin that can be clipped into the hull to improve tracking even further.

Specification Image

Load it up with Gear and Attachments

The iATAK is huge and stable - the max capacity is a whopping 295kg!

There are D-rings behind the seat for use with the Pelican Exo-Crate.

It comes with 4 accessory mounts, 1 action camera mount and a 1-inch rail mount (removable), so you can attach pretty well anything.

For transporting gear, there is space behind the seat, as well as bungee lacing on the front deck. Perfect for multi-day expeditions or for use as a tender.

Specification Image

Motor Ready via Finbox Propeller

If you want to go further and faster, the slide-and-lock fin box is compatible with the Asiwo U1 Fin-box Propeller.

Specification Image

Easy to Clean

There is no fabric on this kayak, you can easily hose it down when you have finished paddling, and towel it dry.

There is a well in the centre of the floor to catch any water that comes in, you can release the bung to drain the well.

Specification Image

Easy to Transport

The iATAK comes in a large bag with wheels.

The bag also has backpack straps on the back.

Note that the seat does not fit inside the bag, instead there are straps on the front of the bag for strapping on the seat.

Once inflated, you can load the kayak up with your gear and the wide, flat hull is ideal for use with the C-tug kayak cart.

If you prefer to lift the kayak, it has 4 carry handles - front, back and each side.

Specification Image

Simple Set Up with Electric Pump

The iATAK only has 2 main chambers with the same valve type. Although it is a simple process, it is a large kayak and very high pressure (up to 14 PSI), so it will take a while with the hand pump. I strongly suggest you purchase an Electric kayak pump with the iATAK.

The Accessory Frame Rail is optional.
The foot pegs are optional.
The fin is optional.

Specification Image

Safety

Having 2 completely separate main chambers gives peace of mind on the water.

The iATAK has pressure release valves on both main chambers - they are designed to release pressure if the kayak becomes over-pressurised. This usually happens due to heat exposure, rather than over-inflation. This release of pressure means the iATAK is significantly less likely to experience over-pressurisation damage.

NOTE - it is recommended you land fish in a towel inside the kayak to avoid damage to the drop-stitch chambers.

iATAK 110 Inflatable Drop-Stitch Fishing Kayak FAQ

The iATAK is full drop-stitch, which gives you excellent rigidity and a very smooth hull bottom, so you glide through the water easily.

It's 22.5kg with the seat, so it takes a bit to get the momentum going, but ones it's going, it's very satisfying to paddle.

Yes, the tracking is very good, thanks to the full drop-stitch rigidity, the displacement hull and the fin.

The iATAK holds its line in wind quite well, thanks to the unique displacement hull and the fin, but it has a high profile so it still gets slowed down by wind.

The Ergo Boost seat gives you excellent back support for hours on the water. When folded flat, the seat gives you a bench-seat like platform that provides a nice ergonomic position where your legs are bent, kind of like sitting on a chair. This is very comfy way to fish but will also allow you to sit and stand quickly and easily.

The adjustable foot pegs are very easy to set up so you get exactly the right support for your lower back as you paddle.

The iATAK 110 Kayak comes with the genius Ergo Boost seating system that gives you excellent back support for hours on the water.

The adjustable foot pegs are very easy to install and customise so you can slide the foot-peg along the rail and find the perfect position to support your lower back as you paddle.

Yes!

This HUGE sit-on-top kayak gives you plenty of open space for your dogs, so they are not cramped into a cockpit.

There is EVA foam padding on the drop-stitch floor to protect from doggy claws.

The wide flat hull means the kayak is very stable so you won’t all go over board if your dog gets excited and makes a sudden move (not that they ever do that …).

Yes! The iATAK 110 Kayak has been specifically DESIGNED for kayak fishing.

The iATAK 110 Kayak comes with an Accessory Frame rail that allow you to attach rod holders and/or other devices with a one inch rail mount.

We are proud supporters of Railblaza mounts and accessories. To accessorise your the rail, we recommend the Railblaza Starport Rail Mount. It also has 1 camera mount and 4 mounts compatible with Scotty and Railblaza mounting systems. For the Scotty mounts we recommend using the Railblaza Starport HD mounts as they are lower profile and integrate seamlessly. Please note, you will need to use 1/4" 14mm bolts as mounting hardware. Most retailers won't provide these. We want to make sure you get this right so dont forget to ask us about including these in with your purchase.

The wide flat hull means the kayak is very stable so you can stand up to sight cast.
The Ergo Boost Seating System is especially good for this - you not only get a supportive back rest, but the back folds over to give you a high perch for easy transition from sitting to standing and vice versa.

The drop-stitch material is extremely durable and designed for fishing.

There is plenty of space on board for gear, such as a tackle box, an esky, lunch etc

There is a well with a bung in the floor for easy hosing out when you are done.

The fin box on the hull is compatible with the Asiwo U1 Propeller.

Yes.

The iATAK 110 Kayak is excellent for taking kids.

It’s very stable and there is HEAPS of space.

Yes, definitely, the iATAK 110 Kayak makes an excellent tender for a boat.

The full drop-stitch construction makes it rigid step on and off of.

It’s a wide-open sit-on-top style kayak, so you don’t have to get yourself in and out of a cockpit.

There’s heaps of space for gear if you are using it to transport your stuff to and from shore.

Note that at 22kg, it’s quite heavy, though, and because of the folding frame seat, it takes up a bit more space that our other kayaks.

**Caution – do not leave the kayak inflated on the deck of the boat. The heat will cause the pressure to rise and you could damage the kayak.

Anything from 1 hour to a multi-day expedition.

Although it is quite comfortable for a multi-day expedition and there is a lot of space for gear, it’s not as fast as the AdvancedFrame Expedition Elite kayak. But if you want to fish on the way, it’s still a better choice!

No.

The iATAK 110 Kayak is not a self-bailing kayak and will fill with water if you encounter swamping waves.

No.

It is certainly capable of mild whitewater (up to class 2), especially if you leave the fin off.

But generally speaking it is designed for flat or coastal water.

Absolutely, yes!

The key feature for beginners is stability and the iATAK 110 is so stable, you can sleep in it (but don’t …)

When the fin is installed, it’s super-easy to paddle straight, no experience necessary.

The only thing to watch out for is that it is fairly heavy (22kg). It’s not critical for beginners to have a lightweight kayak, but it certainly make the experience easier.

It’s certainly stable enough and easy to paddle, but at 22kg you may wish to consider adding a kayak cart to make things easier to move when you are by yourself. The thing to mention here is that you are likely to be taking this down to the water fully loaded with fishing gear, so in this case, something like the Railblaza C-Tug Kayak Cart could make moving the kayak a breeze.

No, the iATAK 110 is a big and heavy kayak and would be difficult for a child to paddle on their own.

I would suggest looking at our lightweight kayaks instead.

Yes, the iATAK 110 Kayak is super-easy to get in and out of.

It is a sit-on-top kayak, so there is no cockpit to fold yourself into.

The full drop-stitch construction becomes rigid when inflated, so you have something firm to push against.

It’s very stable, so you can flop in and roll out if you have to!

Yes.

I cannot emphasise just how BIG this kayak is.

If you need more leg room, simply remove the foot pegs and brace your feet against the front of the cockpit.

The maximum capacity is 250kg.

If you’re on the heavy side, just make sure you put the maximum pressure into the drop-stitch chambers (12 PSI) to get the best rigidity possible.

Wilderness Systems have been making inflatable kayaks for well over 38 years – you don’t have to worry about quality.

All kayaks are inflated at the factory and left for 24 hours to ensure there are no slow leaks.

The main material used is Reinforced PVC and it is super thick and tough.

It can handle dog claws, fish hooks, rocks and even oysters.

In the extremely rare case that you do get a puncture, the kayak comes with a repair kit. The kit is easy to use and you can apply a patch.

The iATAK 110 Kayak is a sit-on-top kayak.

You can NOT use this kayak with a spray skirt.

The iATAK 110 Kayak is a solo kayak – it is designed for use by one adult.

You could, however, easily fit a dog or a child.

Deflated and packed dimensions are:

106cm x 51cm x 50cm

You can get the depth down a bit by putting the aluminium folding seat somewhere else, but the other dimensions can’t really be altered.

The weight is 22kg.

The iATAK 110 Kayak is 22kg with the fin, accessory frame, foot pegs and seat.

When you add in the bag, the pump and the repair kit, it is about 27kg.

Ludicrously stable. Stable enough to stand and cast at the drop of a hat.

The iATAK includes a removable slide-and-lock fin via the fin box underneith. It does not have a rudder.

Note that the iATAK 110 Kayak is easy to paddle and tracks well with the fin on so you are not likely to need a rudder. Alternatively you can use the finbox to attach an electric propeller like the ASIWO U1 to motorise your kayak

Yes, the iATAK 110 Kayak has a Slide-In Fin Box, so propellers with this adapter can be clipped directly into the fin box. Check out the motors in our store and don't forget we are here for questions.

The iATAK is a full drop-stitch kayak made from robust PVC and tens of thousands of drop-stitch strands. The same material that stand-up paddle boards are made from but in kayak form with an amazing seat.

The iATAK 110 Kayak is manufactured by Wilderness Systems (an American company), in their factory in China.

All kayaks are inflated and left overnight on the factory floor to ensure they are fully functional before shipping out.

Install the Accessory Frame System (optional)

  1. Inflate the floor 10-12 PSI
  2. Install the foot pegs (optional)
  3. Inflate the deck 10-12 PSI
  4. Install the seat
  5. Install the fin

You can review the instruction manual here:
iATAK Kayak User Manual

It’s about 10 minutes, 12 if you want to install the accessory frame.

Take off the fin before you rest the kayak on the ground.
Take off the valve covers and set the valves to deflate.
Remove the seat, the foot pegs and the accessory frame (if used).
Walk away for a few minutes and the chambers will mostly deflate.
Roll the kayak up from bow to stern to push the remaining air out of the valves.

You can use the deflate function of the pump if you want to be able to roll it up very tightly.

The iATAK 110 Kayak is PVC, which means you can use a towel to wipe off any water.

Roll it up from bow to stern and use the strap (included) to sinch it down.

It’s okay to store it a little bit wet for a day or so, but if you are going to be storing it for longer, make sure it’s completely dry.

  • Bungee Lacing
  • Roller Duffel Bag

You need to purchase a paddle and a life jacket as the minimum.

You can also purchase a paddle leash so you don’t lose your paddle!

We also recommend a dry-bag for keeping your gear dry.

Check out our Fishing Gear section if you want to do some kayak fishing, but we specifically recommend the Railblaza Starport Rail Mount and the Railblaza Rod Holder II.

Any double bladed kayak paddle will work, but I would strongly suggest getting a LONG one, because you sit quite high in the kayak. Ours start at 230cm.

*Note Double Action Hand Pump with Gauge is included.

I would strongly suggest you invest in the 12V Kayak and SUP Pump because this is a large kayak and takes a lot of pumping to get it fully inflated and up to pressure.

Above expectations

These kayaks are simple to set up, sturdy, track straight and very easy to paddle along. I could not be happier with our choice and the great advice given prior to our purchase. I would highly recommend the kayak and the whole purchase experience.

Advancedframe Expedition Elite Kayak

The Advancedframe Expedition Elite Kayak is extremely well thought out and put together. Every aspect seems to have been catered for. My first experience on the water in the Expedition Elite was very memoriable and 6 hours of paddling seemed to pass in the blink of an eye... If storage and transport is a problem for you I would highly recommend the Advanceframe Expedition Elite Kayak and would highly recommend purchasing from oz inflatable kayaks as Emily was wonderful to deal with and was very knowledgeable and answered every question I threw at her and the service was second to none.

Super slick design and a pleasure to use

This kayak is an excellent design and makes kayaking very accessible for a newbie like me; it's beautiful to use on the water - super stable and comfortable to paddle - and easy to inflate once you know the process. It opens up a whole new range of activities for my camping holidays with kids and friends and can be packed into a boot or trailer as a foldable inflatable product... I could also easily fit my 13 yo and 10 yo into the kayak with me and enjoy it as a family...
