The unique drop-stitch keels in the bow and stern on the Quest range of kayaks are very effective at keeping the kayak tracking straight, even without the fin.
We have also ensured your centre of gravity is as far forward as possible, so that the bow keel is IN the water, not poking out - this dramatically improves tracking in general and especially in wind.

Competition terms and conditions
The competition begins at noon AEST on Monday the 19th of October, 2026, and ends at 9AM AEST on November 4th 2026. The competition giveaway is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older. Entrants must have a valid postal address in Australia. Staff and family members of Oz Inflatable Kayaks, as well as retailers and wholesalers associated with the company, are not eligible to enter. One entry per email is allowed and while no purchase is necessary to enter, entrants must provide an active email address. The total prize package for this giveaway includes: 1 x Quest Solo Inflatable Kayak, 1 x Jaspara Hand Pump, 1 x Jaspara 4 Part Paddle as well as shipping to the winner's residential address within Australia, excluding some regional and remote areas, in which case a shipping fee will apply.
The winner will be selected randomly from all eligible entries and notified by email on Wednesday November 4th 2026. The winner's first name may be announced publicly after notification. The winner must provide a valid residential address for prize delivery. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize. Personal data provided by entrants will be stored and managed in Oz Inflatable Kayak's chosen email management system. By entering the competition, participants agree to the use of their email address and name for the purposes of administering the competition as well as other offers and marketing. The user can opt-out at any time from communications if they wish, but if they do so, they may not receive the email notifying them that they've won.
The prize is transferable for other full-priced kayaks listed in the store at the time of competition. If the chosen kayak or kayak and paddle package is of higher value than the prize value, the customer must pay the difference before their prize can be shipped. If the chosen kayak and paddle package are of lower value than the prize value, the customer will not be refunded the difference.
If you purchase a kayak during the competition and you then win the prize, you will be refunded the amount you paid for your kayak, up to the value of the kayak in the prize, less the value of any coupons used for the purchase. If you purchase a paddle during the competition and you then win the prize, you will be refunded the amount you paid for your paddle, up to the value of the paddle in the prize.
The organiser reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice. The organiser's decision regarding all matters relating to the competition will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any issues or delays with prize delivery once it has been dispatched and tracking data will be provided. The organiser reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate, or temporarily suspend this competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reasons outside of its control.
By entering the competition, participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
