The tracking is excellent.

The unique drop-stitch keels in the bow and stern of the Veeko are very effective at keeping the kayak tracking in a straight line, even with a cross wind.

We have also ensured your centre of gravity is as far forward as possible, so that the bow keel is IN the water, not poking out - this dramatically improves tracking in general and especially in wind.

The Veeko comes with a fin and a fin box if you want even better tracking.

All kayaks are wind affected to some degree.

The Veeko gets blown a bit because of the side walls sitting above the waterline, but the most important thing is that the bow and stern keels are IN the water, helping you stay straight.

There is an optional fin included if you want extra help tracking in the wind.

The Veeko Solo is not the most stable kayak we sell and it has a fixed cockpit that you have to get yourself in and out of, so a reasonable level of agility is required to stay upright when getting in and out.

However, once you're in, it's reasonably stable, super comfortable and supportive in the back, and very easy to paddle.

The other consideration is the weight - at 18kg, it's not our lightest kayak and if you are a senior who is done with lifting heavy things, you might wish to check out the Quest Solo which is only 12.2kg.

Depends on the child, but I would not recommend it, because children tend to do much better in lighter kayaks.

It’s less stable than our others, so you have to be a bit more careful and use your hands to brace either side of the cockpit as you are lowering your bum in.

At 18kg assembled, the Veeko Solo Kayak is extraordinarily lightweight for an expedition kayak.

Having said that, 18kg is not nothing, so you need to be moderately strong to carry it down to the water by yourself.

If you want to make it easier to transport, I would suggest getting the C-tug Kayak Cart this allows you to wheel the kayak to the water and then you can easily stow the cart on the deck.

The Veeko Solo kayak is not super stable but it’s not super tippy either. It’s somewhere in the middle.

The only time I notice the instability is when I am getting in and out. Once I'm on the water, I can easily relax.

The Veeko Solo Inflatable Kayak is manufactured by Jaspara (an Australian company), at our factory in China.

All kayaks are inflated and left for 7 days on the factory floor to ensure they are fully functional before shipping out.

Unroll the kayak and ensure the bung is screwed in tight.

Start inflating the floor chamber to 10PSI (12V Kayak and SUP Pump highly recommended).

Insert the foot pegs (optional).

Inflate both side chambers to 10 PSI.

Inflate the deck lifts to 5 PSI.

Clip in the seat.

Slide in the fin if you want to use it.

Close the valve caps on the 5 chambers.

It should take you around 7:25 minutes, once you have got the hang of it.

It’s about 7:25 minutes with the 12V Kayak and SUP Pump, once you have got the hang of it.

Pack Away Time is around 6:20 minutes

Take off the valve covers and set the valves to deflate.

Remove the seat, foot pegs and fin (if used).

You can use the deflate function of the pump if you want.

Fold the bow to one side and roll up the kayak.

When you get to the valves, fold the stern in the same direction as the bow and roll in.

Use the strap provided to sinch the kayak tight.

Put everything back in the bag.

Open the bung of the kayak and hold the kayak upright and face down to let the water drain out.

You are welcome to use a hose with this kayak if you want to.

You can either air dry or dry with a towel.

Pack up as per the instructions.
