The Quest Tandem is a high performance tandem kayak that paddles beautifully but is light enough to be carried, set-up and paddled solo - yay! It comes with drop-stitch keels at both the bow and stern so it paddles straight, even in windy conditions. The sit-on-top style is stable enough to flop in and out of, making it great for taking kids and dogs. With foot pegs, bum cushions and supportive seats, the Quest is quick and easy to set up if you want an hour of peace on the water, but also suitable for multi-day expeditions.

The unique drop-stitch keels in the bow and stern on the Quest range of kayaks are very effective at keeping the kayak tracking straight, even without the fin.
We have also ensured your centre of gravity is as far forward as possible, so that the bow keel is IN the water, not poking out - this dramatically improves tracking in general and especially in wind.
Hull Shape - Not Like Other Kayaks
Some of the other kayaks on the market have hard plastic keels on the bow and stern.
These keels do not angle deep enough and are therefore often OUT of the water, achieving nothing.
The drop-stitch keels of the Quest go DOWN from the hull, INTO the water and are amazingly effective for tracking.
Easy to Use Solo
Most tandem kayaks are marketed for solo use. But in reality, they are far too long and heavy for one person to set up and carry down to the water.
The Quest Tandem inflatable kayak is only 17.1 kg, including the seats and the foot pegs (most kayaks weights on the internet are hull only).
We have positioned the padded handles right on the centre of gravity so that one person can easily lift the kayak up onto their shoulder.
Easy to Get in and Out of
The Quest is super stable with low profile side chambers - you can just flop in and out of it, no grace required.
Awesome Foot and Back Support
The adjustable foot pegs allow you to use your whole body in the paddling motion
Not only is a cushioned, high-backed seat supplied, we have also placed the D-rings very high on the side chambers - this height helps support your lumbar significantly more than lower-placed D-rings.
The seat comes with a 5cm cushion in the base that can be removed.
In the Quest, I prefer the cushion removed so I am closer to the water with a lower centre of gravity for better stability. However, you may wish to use the cushion in rough conditions to keep lifted up off the deck and away from any water that gets in the kayak. Up to you.

Easy to Set Up
Seriously quick and easy to get from in the bag to on the water.
There are 3 chambers that use the same valve type for inflation, so you can use the same adapter for all valves on the kayak, no need to change adapters on the pump.
Insert the included foot pegs (optional).
Insert the included deck lifts (optional).
Clip in the seats (back clips optional).
No need to clip in the fin, the kayak tracks straight without it but it is included if you wish to use.
Propeller Compatible - Zoom Zoom!
Although the Quest does not require a fin, we have provided a fin box on the hull, primarily so you can clip in a fin-box propeller.
The kayak is stable enough for the propeller and easy to steer with your paddle.
Quality Materials and Manufacturing
The Jaspara range of kayaks are manufactured using top-quality components by amazing dedicated staff. All kayaks are inflated and left for a 7 day period to ensure there are no leaks before packing. We have personally tested the kayaks to determine the positioning of vital components such as handles, seats, D-rings and foot pegs all in an effort to make sure that when you paddle a Jaspara kayak, you have a great experience paddling a comfortable and well balanced watercraft.
Stable - Great for Dogs and Kids
The Quest range of kayaks are 85 cm wide so they are really stable, great for beginners and intermediate paddlers.
The Quest kayaks are great for kids, dogs and fishing though if you are looking to do more than a small amount of fishing, check out the Quest Angler which has been specifically designed with fishing features.

Quest Tandem Inflatable Kayak FAQ
The high-pressure drop-stitch floor (included) gives you excellent rigidity and a very smooth hull bottom, so you glide through the water gracefully.
The Quest Tandem Inflatable Kayak sits at that sweet spot – it’s not the fastest kayak we sell, but it’s got a wonderful ‘glide’ to it.
Even though it’s only 4m long, the drop-stitch keels give you a wonderful paddling experience.
Yes!
For a shortish kayak, the tracking is excellent, even without the fin.
The high-pressure drop-stitch floor plays a big part in this. The enhanced rigidity helps the kayak glide through the water smoothly.
But the most important feature for tracking is the hull shape - the drop-stitch keels at the bow and stern are amazingly effective, they keep you going straight even with no fin and even in the wind!
Not much.
All kayaks are wind affected to some degree.
You can generally predict how wind affected it’s going to be based on the ratio of kayak above the waterline to kayak below the waterline.
The Quest Tandem Inflatable Kayak sits quite low in the water, especially compared to other inflatables, so it performs quite well in wind.
You can also look at the hull shape to determine wind affect. The Quest has drop-stitch keels at both the bow and the stern and these dramatically improve the kayak's ability to keep it's directional line in the wind.
It's wonderful, I could spend all day paddling it!
The extra-stiff high-backed seat is paired with high-mounted D-rings for better lumbar support.
A removable 5cm seat cushion is included. I prefer it out in the Quest for a lower center of gravity and better stability, but you may want it in for rough conditions to stay drier.
The adjustable foot pegs allow you to use your whole body for more efficient paddling.
The Quest Tandem Inflatable Kayak comes with adjustable foot pegs. A lot of paddlers swear by foot pegs for encouraging good paddling technique and for supporting the lower back.
The Quest Tandem Inflatable Kayak has very good back support with an extra-stiff high-backed seat, paired with high-mounted D-rings for better lumbar support.
Yes, if they are not massive.
The Quest Tandem Inflatable Kayak is spaced nicely for 2 adults and a small to medium sized dog.
The drop-stitch floor inside the kayak is super tough, you do not need any reinforcement.
The wide flat hull means the kayak is very stable so you won’t all go over board if your dog gets excited and makes a sudden move (not that they ever do that …).
Yes.
The wide flat hull means the kayak is very stable so you can focus on fishing and relaxing.
The drop-stitch floor and the PVC tarpaulin are extremely durable, giving you the confidence that neither fish nor fishing gear will cause a puncture.
Optional kayak anchor ίf the fish are biting and you want to stay where you are.
Optional accessory frame if you want to attach additional rod holders, an EPERB, a fish finder, go-pro etc.
Yes.
The Quest Tandem Inflatable Kayakis good for taking kids, as long as they are still small.
It’s super-stable, so the kids can have a nap and muck around without tipping it over.
It’s not huge inside - there’s enough room for 2 adults and a small child.
Yes, it’s a good choice for at tender, as long as you are not in open ocean.
It’s got the high-pressure drop-stitch floor which makes it easy to step into and out of.
The wide-open cockpit also makes it easy to step in and out of.
It’s not our biggest kayak, but there is still quite a bit of deck space and capacity (250kg) for gear if you are using it to transport your stuff to and from shore.
**Caution – do not leave the kayak inflated on the deck of the boat. The heat will cause the pressure to rise and you could damage the kayak.
Although it performs well in chop, it is not rated for open ocean because there are no bail ports for swamping waves.
It’s fast and comfortable enough for anything from 1 hour to a full-day trip.
You could technically do a multi-day expedition, you just don’t have a massive amount of deck space for storage of gear.
If you have to pack a huge amount of stuff, I suggest looking at our AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite, which has more storage space.
Not really, because there is no spray deck to keep swamping waves out, and the kayak does not have bail ports, so any water that gets inside the kayak is staying in there.
If you are considering paddling in rough conditions, the Kayak Bilge Pump is recommended.
No.
The Quest Tandem Inflatable Kayak is fine for class 1 and 2 whitewater, however it is really designed to paddle in a straight line, and therefore not recommended for rivers above class 2.

It’s light, stable and easily to paddle, which are the key features for kids when they are learning to paddle.
The Quest Tandem Inflatable Kayak is a doddle to get in and out of.
The sides are low and the kayak is super stable, you can just flop into it and flop out if you have to.
If there was ONE tall paddler, that would be fine, the seats and foot pegs can be moved around to give the tall paddler more length.
If, however, there were TWO very tall paddlers, I would recommend checking out the Odyssey Tandem Inflatable kayak, which has more internal length than the Quest Tandem.
The maximum capacity is 250kgs.
We recommend that no individual paddler weighs more than 120kg.
The Jaspara range of kayaks is crafted using premium-quality drop-stitch and PVC Tarpaulin and assembled by a dedicated team. Each kayak is fully inflated and left for a period of 7 days to ensure it remains leak-free before packaging.

Above expectations
These kayaks are simple to set up, sturdy, track straight and very easy to paddle along. I could not be happier with our choice and the great advice given prior to our purchase. I would highly recommend the kayak and the whole purchase experience.

Advancedframe Expedition Elite Kayak
The Advancedframe Expedition Elite Kayak is extremely well thought out and put together. Every aspect seems to have been catered for. My first experience on the water in the Expedition Elite was very memoriable and 6 hours of paddling seemed to pass in the blink of an eye... If storage and transport is a problem for you I would highly recommend the Advanceframe Expedition Elite Kayak and would highly recommend purchasing from oz inflatable kayaks as Emily was wonderful to deal with and was very knowledgeable and answered every question I threw at her and the service was second to none.

Super slick design and a pleasure to use
This kayak is an excellent design and makes kayaking very accessible for a newbie like me; it's beautiful to use on the water - super stable and comfortable to paddle - and easy to inflate once you know the process. It opens up a whole new range of activities for my camping holidays with kids and friends and can be packed into a boot or trailer as a foldable inflatable product... I could also easily fit my 13 yo and 10 yo into the kayak with me and enjoy it as a family...
