The first feature to keep an eye out for is a drop stitch floor. All of our fishing kayaks contain drop stitch floors but essentailly this is what give your kayak stability and rigidity. It allows it to paddle like a hard-shell kayak.
You can't stand in all kayaks but having a stable platform assists with both kayak performance and standing, if sight casting if your thing.

This one is totally personal preference. It isn't a must, in fact, it isn't important to many of our customers. But if standing and sight-casting is something that you want to do, then stability is key.
Usually the wider the kayak the more stable it is. The IATAK 110 is the gold standard for standing courtesy of its seat design, width and the fact that both top and bottom chambers are made from dropstitch.
While standing certainly isn't crucial, it is very much possible in an inflatable fishing kayak, just like a boat or tinnie.

Yes you can!
All of our designated fishing kayaks come with fin boxes underneath which enables you to use a fin box motor like the ASIWO U1. This means that you can attach a motor to your kayak instead of the fin, giving you the power navigate the waterways with ease without needing to paddle the entire time.

All of the fishing kayaks we have in our range contain comfortable seats for long days on the water chasing the next catch.
One seat gets a notable mention which is the ErgoBoost seat that comes with the IATAK 110. This seat folds into a bench seat position that allows you to sit and stand at will, ready for sight casting or just sitting comfortably in a more upright position.

If you are looking to use your kayak more for recreation but want to fish occasionally, then you will have more options than the dedicated fishing kayaks in this section. If you are only fishing occasionally, you wont need multiple rod holders and other accessories. You will also have the option to choose a sit-in kayak.
Sit-in kayaks allow you to stay warm and dry, and typically go faster and track straighter than sit-on-top kayaks.
They are still stable enough and durable enough for fishing, just not in the same capacity as a dedicated fishing kayak. If in doubt, reach out to the team for a chat.

Our sit-in kayaks do not have rod holders, but most have velcro paddle holders on the side that can be useful when fishing.
Sit in kayaks are great for a single rod and a light tackle box. Think occasional angler
If you want to attach rod-holders and other accessories, you can use the Accessory Frame System. The Accessory Rail System comes as standard with the Angler Pro but can be added to most other kayaks as an extra as the width of the deck is at least 59cm.
If you are sold on a sit-in, you can still install the accessory rails. Installation requires a bit of DIY and there is some cutting and gluing involved. Don't worry though, there are detailed instructions and it’s covered by warranty.

Of course, you can't drill a rod-holder into your inflatable fishing kayak, but all of the fishing kayaks come with a universal mounting system, ready for use with Railblaza HD mounts. Once the HD mount is bolted on, you can attach things like rod holders, fish-finders, transducers, navigation lights, action cameras, etc.
Some kayaks contain an accessory frame system which can be used with Railblaza Bimini Rail Mounts. Not all kayaks are suitable for use with the accessory rails so please reach out to us for clarification.
Some do. The StraitEdge (solo) and StraitEdge2 Pro (tandem) kayaks both have rod holders included. The StraitEdge Angler Pro (solo) kayak does not have rod holders as standard, it comes with 2 accessory frames that allow you to mount your own rod holders and accessories.
